Justin Bieber isn’t old enough to drink beer in the United States. Of course, the Canadian pop star isn’t in the United States at the moment.
Bieber posted a picture of himself drinking a beer on Instagram this weekend with the caption: “Beers in the jungle.”
US Magazine reports that the singer is currently in South Africa for his world tour where the drinking age is 18. Some people have criticized the signer for posting a photo of himself drinking a beer (he does have a bunch of young fans that look up to him) but the singer isn’t breaking any laws. It’s completely legal for Bieber, who is now 19, to get drunk in a South African jungle.
Do you think Justin made a mistake by posting the photo? This isn’t the first time that Bieber has been the center of a controversial photos. Last year, the singer was photographed holding what looked like a joint.
Bieber indirectly commented on the marijuana photo during an SNL sketch and has talked about his drinking habits in the past. The singer told GQ last year that he has had a beer before. The singer said that he doesn’t like to get drunk because he always wants to make sure that he’s in control of himself.
Bieber said: “For me, it’s just like, I like to be in control of myself … I mean, I’ve had a beer, like, before . . . But I never get out of control.”
Here’s the photo of Justin Bieber drinking a beer from his Instagram account.
In addition to throwing back a couple of Amstel Lights, the 19-year-old also got to see some elephants. Bieber captioned his elephant photo “God is good.”
