William Fichtner Joins ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

William Fichtner has signed on to star in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.

Details about the actor’s role in the flick are few and far between for the moment. However, sources recently told Deadline that Fichtner is now a part of the cast.

Rumor has it that the former Prison Break star has signed on for the role of Shredder in director Jonathan Liebesman and producer Michael Bay’s TMNT reboot. However, nothing has been confirmed by anyone associated with the flick. For the time being, it’s all just speculation.

Since a number of key roles have already been cast, there are few shoes left to fill. Since William Fichtner plays intense characters really well, he would certainly be a great choice for the role. There’s also a chance he could portray Casey Jones, another part that has yet to be cast. Again, your guess is as good as mine.

Fichtner will be joined by Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Will Arnett, and Danny Woodburn in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. The film is expected to arrive in theaters next summer.

William Fichtner has been an extremely busy man. In addition to appearing in Quentin Dupieux’s Wrong, he starred alongside Ed Harris and David Duchovny in writer-director Todd Robinson’s submarine thriller Phantom.

According to Internet Movie Database, the actor has a number of projects set for release later this year. He will portray Butch Cavendish in Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger. The big-budget summer flick stars Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp.

Fichtner can also be found in District 9 director Neill Blomkamp’s sci-fi flick Elysium. Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, and Sharlto Copley will join the Entourage alum in the upcoming thriller. Look for the film to arrive in theaters across the US on August 9.
