Rob Kardashian Charged, Pleads Not Guilty In Scuffle With Photographer

Rob Karsashian, charged with two misdemeanors after he got into a spat with a photographer outside a Los Angeles gym, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The reality star allegedly assaulted photographer Andra Viak in March. Police said the 26-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star got angry that Viak took shirtless pictures of him as he left a gym.

The rumors said that Rob was upset that he had put on some weight and was being photographed. Kardashian was charged with battery and petty theft related to the spat.

Viak claimed in a lawsuit that Kardashian ripped the memory card from her camera. She also says Rob Kardashian struck her in the face during he scuffle.

Court documents obtained by E! News found that Vaik claimed she was “struck in the face and suffered severe contusions on her arm and chest, as well as damage to her property” as a result of Kardashian’s “violent use of force.”

After Rob Kardashian was initially charged, Andra Vaik’s lawyer toldTMZ:

“While this case is still in the preliminary stage, it is clear from our investigation that Robert Kardashian’s violent behavior and his use of force towards Ms. Vaik was completely unjustified.”

Rob claimed he was reacting in a reasonable manner after Vaik trespassed in the gym’s garage and violated his privacy. He also said that Vaik waited insider her car until he came into sight and then jumped out to take pictures.

Though he does not garner as much attention as his more fame-ready sisters, Rob Kardashian has become a tabloid mainstay in recent months. He had a very public breakup with singer Rita Ora in which he claimed she was unfaithful on multiple occasions, and branched out of the Kardashian television empire to appear on Dancing With The Stars.

After Rob Kardashian was charged he was released on his own recognizance, though the prosecution asked for $21,000 bail to be set.
