Nephew of Jennifer Hudson Is Identified Post-Mortem By FBI

Just one day after offering a $100,000 reward for her nephew’s safe return, Jennifer Hudson has had to face more tragic news. After her mother and brother were brutally slain by gunshot in Chicago (Friday), Julian King was reported missing and placed under Illinois Amber Alert. It appears that his body has been found in the Chicago area, about 2.5 miles away from original crime scene.

A 75-year-old man, who had lived in the Hudson’s neighborhood of Englewood, was walking his dog when he spotted a white SUV with plates matching those of Jason Hudson’s car (Jennifer’s brother and homicide victim). A child’s body was soon discovered by police, who arrived minutes after the tip-off.

Pending an absolute ID of the body, the Chicago Tribunereflected that “If the boy is identified as Julian King, it will confirm detectives’ worst fears because a law enforcement source said bullet casings were found in the boy’s room on Friday. But the source said they had not found other evidence of violence in the room.”

The FBI have now proclaimed that the body is “believed to be” that of Julian.
