Kanye West Tells ‘SNL’ To Be Nice To Kim Kardashian [Video]

Kanye West agreed to perform yet again on Saturday Night Live, but the artist had one important condition: Be nice to his baby mama.

West’s SNL will be the season finale, so the writers naturally want to make the show as memorable as possible. For that reason, West is apparently afraid that they’ll take pot-shots at Kim Kardashian, who is carrying his child. So he struck a deal with the show’ producers.

They can parody Kim if they want to, but they have to be nice about it.

“Kanye as musical guest is a great get for SNL, but of course the writers want to push the envelope and take advantage of it with a Kim Kardashian skit,” a source said of the arrangement.

“That’s not unusual since her famous family has been spoofed before with some very hilarious and spot-on impersonations of a whining Kim. They have to tread lightly because Kanye hasn’t been happy with all the flack Kim’s been getting about her pregnancy weight gain.”

Avoiding easy shots is easier said than done, especially since, for better or worse, everyone is talking about Kim’s pregnancy. She is very obviously showing, and sometimes dresses as though she isn’t, resulting in some degree of media attention/criticism.

So how will they pull it off?

“They’ve come up with a win-win scenario where Kim actually gets a cameo at the end of the skit. That would probably make everyone in Kanye’s camp — and especially Kim — very happy,” the source added.

Kanye West will appear on Saturday Night Live on May 18 as the musical guest to host Ben Affleck.

Both Kanye and Kim have been parodied on SNL before, with Nasim Pedrad doing a particularly convincing Kim K. Check it out below:
