Kerry Katona Slurs, Blames Sleep Meds

Kerry Katona, English TV presenter, author and former pop star, had an awesomely bad interview this week on ITV’s This Morning series. What made it super awkward was the fact that she was there to present current projects and the “new her”: Katona’s got a show coming out on MTV that chronicles her experience with plastic surgery, and she’s trying to prove that she’s not “lurch[ing] from crisis to crisis” anymore. Sh*t.

After sounding very. . . unsteady during Tuesday’s interview, co-presenter Phillip Schofield was prompted to remark that “We have known you for a very long time and, if I’m honest, you don’t seem right to me sitting here now. Your speech is a little bit slurred.” The Telegraphreports that “She blamed her condition on prescription medication taken the night before to help her sleep. The 28-year-old suffers from bipolar disorder, otherwise known as manic depression.”

Let the slurring commence, then. It’s almost too bad to make it all the way through. Where’s a minder when you need one?
