Bieber Concert Causes Schools To Reschedule Exams

A school in Norway has rescheduled its midterm exams to accommodate for an upcoming Justin Bieber concert.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Bieber is scheduled to perform in Norway on April 16 and 17, which happens to be right in the middle of exam week in Norway.

The country’s Ministry of Education and Research announced today that five schools in Western Norway have decided to reschedule their exams because they are worried that their students won’t be able to concentrate when Bieber is in town.

Kristin Halvorsen, Norway’s education minister, said that she supports the school’s decision to reschedule the tests, saying that “we’ve all been 14-years-old and know that interests can be intense.”

Halvorsen added: “I am concerned that students should be concentrating when they take tests and midterms… The local schools have the responsibility to schedule the local midterms, and if they think there is any reason to change the dates, they have authority to do so.”

Are you surprised that five Norway schools caved into Bieber fever?

Bieber has been a world tour for the last few months but it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Last week, the pop star lost his monkey at a security checkpoint in Germany.
