‘Fast And Furious 7’ Could Start Shooting This Summer

Fast and Furious 7 could start shooting as early as this summer.

Franchise star Vin Diesel revealed details about the possible sequel on Facebook. However, nothing about the next installment of the franchise has been officially confirmed.

“There was an early screening in L.A. this week of ‘Fast 6.’ The crowd reaction was surreal … and their demand for the continuation was powerful,” the actor explained.

He continued. “It’s remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999 … and the evolution continues. Filming begins this summer in L.A., where it all started … talk about a studio in sync with the audience.”

Of course, all of this could change if Fast and Furious 6 fails to connect with audiences this May. Given the positive buzz the film has at the moment, its doubtful Universal has to worry about people showing up in theaters.

The studio is so committed to the Fast and the Furious franchise at the moment that its already discussing a possible spin-off movie starring Dwayne Johnson. The film would serve as a stop-gap in-between Fast and Furious 6 and Fast and Furious 7.

“That’s the goal We continue to build that character and have him take shape. But yes, can’t wait,” the G.I. Joe: Retaliation co-star told Empire magazine.

Universal put together an extensive promotional campaign for director Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious 6. In addition to allowing co-stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez to release officials stills on Facebook, the studio managed to pump out an impressive numbers of trailers.

The sequel finds the heroes from Fast Five teaming up with Special Agent Luke Hobbs to take down a group of mercenary drivers. At some point during their adventures, the heroes use their vehicular skills to take down a giant airplane. You sequence is found in the trailer below.

Fast and Furious 6 stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Luke Evans, and Gina Carano. Are you looking for the film and the possible sequel?
