David Lee Roth Insured His Penis

Van Halen singer, David Lee Roth, has stated that he once decided to take out insurance on his penis before he want out on tour.

The rocker was talking to the Huffington Post, who enquired as to whether he had once insured his whole body before heading out for a series of gigs.

But he stated that he had taken out an insurance policy on his genitalia with Lloyds Of London, before adding that he was given this part of his anatomy the nickname “Little Elvis.”

“It wasn’t my body, it was Little Elvis,” stated Roth. “Before we were leaving they said, ‘We’ll have to insure Eddie [Van Halen, the group’s guitarist]’s fingers, because he’s doing to be using those a lot on the road, and Alex Van Halen [drummer]’s elbows, we’re going to have to insure those because he’s going to be using them a lot.’ And I said: ‘What about Little Elvis? We’re going to be using him a lot.”

Last year, the music magazine, Guitar World, called Eddie Van Halen the greatest guitar player of all time. Van Halen formed the band in 1972, and their debut, self-titled album, was labelled as one of the most “original and revolutionary albums to change rock and roll.”

Van Halen beat out the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and Brian May to the number one spot, which was voted for by readers.

Van Halen just released their new album, A Different Kind Of Truth, their 12th studio record, in February of 2012. This marked the first occasion that Lee Roth had provided vocals on one of their records since 1984.

Lee Roth left the band in 1985 after he rowed with Eddie Van Halen, and was replaced by Sammy Hagar, who then left the group in 1996.

Who do you prefer, David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar?
