Chelsea Handler’s Taylor Swift Theory: ‘She’s A Virgin’ [Video]

Chelsea Handler has a theory about country star (and possible man-eater) Taylor Swift that actually makes quite a bit of sense.

The talk show host appeared Tuesday on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live where she was asked about Swift’s recent ribbing of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who poked fun at the singer for her messy love life during the Golden Globe Awards.

Swift said in an interview with Vanity Fair that media backlash against her for her dating choices is “a little sexist,” and said that there’s a “special place in hell” for women who turn on each other (referencing the Fey/Poehler jab directly).

“I think that was a bold statement, but I’m not on anyone’s side because I just don’t care enough,” Handler said of the celebrity scuffle. “I like that she’s being that vociferous about something that she thinks they were out to get her. They were clearly making a joke just about her demeanor, which is embarrassing. I mean, she’s just dated so many men.”

However, 23-year-old Swift says that she has dated “exactly two people” since 2010 (Conor Kennedy and Harry Styles), even though she has been linked to Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, John Mayer, and others.

But Handler has a theory on why Swift goes from jilted ex to jilted ex so quickly.

“My theory about Taylor Swift is that she’s a virgin, that everyone breaks up with her because they date her for two weeks and she’s like, ‘I’m not gonna do it,'” continued Handler.”And they’re like, ‘Oh, well, forget it. Then I don’t want to date you.’ Every guy thinks they’re going to devirginize her, and they’re not. She’s never going to get devirginized, ever, ever, ever, ever.”
