‘Real Housewife’ Jacqueline Laurita Hit With $340K Tax Lien

When it comes to paying taxes, Jacqueline Laurita apparently hasn’t been keeping it real.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star reportedly owes about $340,000 to the state tax collector.

According to TMZ, the New Jersey Division of Taxation slapped a tax lien against her for $338337.05, and the state could conceivably foreclose on her personal or real property to collect on the tax bill.

Ironically perhaps, as The Inquistr has previously reported, Laurita has admitted that her primary motivation for appearing on the show is to make money. In an interview, Laurita noted that the money and the fame were enough of a draw to put up with another season of yelling, name-calling, and sitting on a reunion show couch with Teresa Giudice.

Laurita is not the only cast member of the Real Housewives franchise that has experienced financial problems, Giudice among them.

Speaking of Teresa Giudice, supposedly she and Laurita have buried the hatchet in their feud, but it may be just for TV purposes. RaderOnline reports that

“Teresa and Jax had dinner with each other and their husbands, Joe Giudice and Chris Laurita, recently, and it was actually a friendly night — all captured on camera by Bravo.”

Another insider tells Radar that there is still a lot of bad blood between the two women.

Filming for season 5 of TheReal Housewives of New Jersey, which originally premiered on May 12, 2009, on the Bravo network, is underway.

Are you a Real Housewives fan? Do you think anything about the show is “real”?
