Are you ready to meet Taylor Swift’s next ex-boyfriend ?
According to E! News , the 23-year-old country singer spent most of the night February 19 with redheaded British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, who will undoubtedly be the subject of Swift’s next revenge album.
An eyewitness told the celebrity news site that the night before the 2013 Brit Awards, Sheeran, who collaborated with Swift on her Red album , went to Swift’s hotel and “stayed in (her) room, just the two of them, until around 4 a.m.”
When he finally left, the source said he looked “very happy.” Swift also had her driver take Sheeran away in the car she had used earlier that day.
“He looked very pleased with himself,” the witness said, with another source noting that the couple “briefly dated last spring. He thinks she is really cute, and they have a great chemistry together.”
According to Radar , Sheeran is already well-established in the UK, but has started to attract international attention, especially in the United States. He made a guest spot on Swift’s Red , and wrote a few songs for One Direction. Sheeran is also friends with Swift’s ex Harry Styles.
Sheeran’s “The A Team” was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammys, and he sang a duet with Elton John during the ceremony.
Over the next several months, Sheeran and Swift will be spending plenty of time together as he tours with her Red Tour in North America as her opening act.
On Sheeran’s birthday (February 17) Swift tweeted:
So. One of my favorite human beings on the planet turns 22 today. I hope @ edsheeran has the most perfect show in LA tonight! HAPPY BDAYYYY

Sheeran responded the next day with a lyric from one of Swift’s songs:
