Lindsay Lohan Loses Pitbull Song Lawsuit

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly lost her lawsuit against rapper Pitbull.

The troubled actress was apparently none too pleased about a lyric in the song “Give Me Everything.” At one point during the tune, the rapper drops the line: “I’ve got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.”

Since she felt the lyric cast her in a negative light, Lohan decided to take the Pitbull, Ne-Yo, and Afrojack to court. She filed the lawsuit in August of 2011.

According to TMZ, a federal judge dismissed the case on Thursday. Although Lindsay Lohan felt Pitbull should have to pay up for using her name, the judge ultimately ruled the song was protected by the First Amendment.

Marcos Jimenez, Pitbull’s attorney was more than pleased with the ruling.

He told E! Online:

“This will further solidify the rights of artists to express themselves in song. He felt it was very important to address this head on to protect his right and the rights of other artist. He decided to fight this.”

To make matters worse for Lindsay Lohan, Senior District Judge Denis R. Hurley slapped her attorney with $1,500 in fines for “sanctionable plagiarism and false representation.” Jimenez said Lindsay’s attorney lifted text from online publications to piece together sections of her case.

Unfortunately for Lohan, the troubles in her life seem to keep coming from all angles. The Inquisitr previously reported that the actress allegedly destroyed a dress she borrowed from celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch.

A source explained to Us Weekly:

“She said that the dress had ripped [at a club after the fundraiser] — she couldn’t possibly wear it like that — so her stylist friend went to the club bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the dress. But what bouncer has scissors?”
