Thanks to all of President Obama’s accidental flubbing (again) of his swearing in and Beyonce’s lip syncing controversy , you probably missed things about the President’s second inaugural that actually mattered . Like when Obama took the stage and delivered a spoken-word rendition of the Pokémon theme song. Oh sure, it’s not as headline-worthy as Beyonce’s national anthem that wasn’t or the right-wing catnip that is Obama screwing up at the swearing in again (because that makes him technically not president!!!), but darn it if it wasn’t a fantastic and inspiring part of the inauguration that deserves a second look.
