Tom Arnold and The Apprentice producer Mark Burnett got into a physical confrontation the evening before the 70th Annual Emmy Awards at an industry party on September 16.

Both Arnold and Burnett’s wife Roma Downey are accusing each other of physical attacks that also involve her husband.

“Mark Burnett just went apes**t & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD,” Arnold tweeted on September 16.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that Mark Singer, Arnold’s lawyer, confirmed the incident occurred, saying that Burnett “attacked” Arnold.

Downey, Burnett’s wife, tweeted that Arnold “tried to ambush” the couple alongside a photo of a bruised hand, said The Hollywood Reporter.

“Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom?”

Arnold later replied to Downey’s tweet by stating, “Bulls**t. You lie your crazy husband attacked me you psycho. I’m filing a police report & suing you for defamation.”

Arnold has a new show on Viceland called The Hunt for the Trump Tapes, which will debut on September 18.

On the series, Arnold will attempt to find tapes that he says show the president expressing “bigoted views” on the set of his NBC show The Apprentice.

Arnold, a competitor on The Celebrity Apprentice, alleges that Trump used the N-word on an unreleased tape of the NBC series.

The Hollywood Reporter also noted that Arnold alleges there is a “golden shower” tape that exists during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“There’s two people who have never called me a liar about the N-word tape: Donald Trump and Mark Burnett, because they know it’s true,” Arnold said during the Kimmel show appearance.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Arnold remarked he will not stop his pursuit of the truth until Trump “resigns.”

“I’m going to do this until he resigns,” said Arnold. “He is a crazy person. He is putting this country on the precipice of war right now. For some reason, I am in a position to do something, and it is working. And I am going to do this until that guy resigns and the world will be safer. It’s going to happen.”

Mark Burnett has not made any formal remarks regarding Arnold’s accusations.

The 70th Annual Emmy Awards will air tonight, September 17 at 8 pm EST on NBC. The show will be hosted by SNL stars and head writers Colin Jost and Michael Che.

There is no word whether the altercation will be addressed on tonight’s broadcast by the hosts.
