Beyoncé Teases Super Bowl ‘Countdown To Touchdown’ Footage [Video]

Beyoncé has posted a short but tantalizing glimpse of her Super Bowl rehearsals ahead of her halftime show this Sunday.

Entitled “Countdown to Touchdown,” the short clip was uploaded on the singer’s YouTube page.

In it, Beyoncé can be seen working on a laptop, while an army of dancers go through their paces in real time and slow-motion.

The 31-year-old is expected to attend a traditional pre-Super Bowl mid-week press conference at New Orleans’ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, USA Today reports.

It will be the first time Beyoncé speaks publicly — apart from cryptic sweater messages — since the lip-sync debacle that followed her rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” at President Obama’s recent inauguration.

Post that event, amid much hand-wringing, strong rumors that Destiny’s Child would be reuniting, a bogus story involving New York Senator Chuck Schumer, “diva demands,” and revelations that Houston’s finest is not being personally paid for her halftime show — numerous teasers were posted by the singer on her Instagram and Tumblr accounts.

NBC astutely notes that the brouhaha has only inflated hype about Beyonce’s Super Bowl appearance, perhaps even threatening to overshadow the game.

Now, all that remains for the “Crazy in Love” singer is some clever side-stepping when she’s asked inevitable inauguration questions today, and a show-stopping halftime set on the big day itself.

Super Bowl XLVII and Beyoncé touch down at the Mercedes-Benz superdome in New Orleans on February 3.
