Shark Tank Entrepreneur Wrecks Ferrari At Daytona Race

A Shark Tank entrepreneur wrecks his car at the inaugural Ferrari Challenge at Daytona International Speedway, leaving his car dinged up but keeping him relatively unscathed.

Robert Herjavec, a millionaire buisnessman and star of ABC’s reality showShark Tank, was involved in a wreck on the track’s 3.56-mile course when he was hit from behind on the seventh lap, The Associated Press reported.

After the Shark Tank entrepreneur wrecked the car, he was taken to the infield care center and was treated and released.

“thx everyone 4 your concern-medical released me-rammed from behind- frustrated but OK-car should be OK for race (hash) 2 tmrow,” Herjavec posted on his Twitter page.

Robert Herjavec is the architect of several companies, including the fastest-growing technology company in Canada, Herjavec Group. Along the way, the first generation immigration from Yugoslavia amassed a fortune of more than $100 million, his personal bio says.

Aside from his business ventures and writing his best-selling book, Driven, the Shark Tank entrepreneur is an avid sportsman. He is a noted runner and golfer, having completed the New York City Marathon and played in several charity golf tournaments including the Mike Weir event at the Canadian Open and the Wayne Gretzky Nationwide Tour Pro-Am.

News that the Shark Tank entrepreneur wrecks his Ferrari isn’t too surprising for those in racing circles. He is an aggressive driver, having competed in the Ferrari Challenge Series across North America. In his first year, Robert won “Rookie of the Year” for the Ferrari Challenge Series by a two point margin.

The news that the Shark Tank entrepreneur wrecks could have been a lot worse. Not only was he unhurt, but Herjavec also thinks his Ferrari will be ready to race again soon.
