Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's alleged feud is heating up, and sources are claiming that Kate is now refusing to help Meghan adjust to life in the royal family.
According to a June 22 report by Closer Weekly, insiders reveal that Kate Middleton is cutting back when it comes to helping her new sister-in-law adjust to life as a duchess, and that Middleton feels like Markle is "trying to outdo her."
Sources close to the royal family reportedly told In Touch Weekly Magazine that Meghan Markle had been learning so much from Kate Middleton. However, following Markle's wedding to Prince Harry, Middleton hasn't been so helpful.
"Meghan learned everything from Kate. But since the wedding, Kate feels like Meghan has barely made any effort with her and is more interested in impressing [Queen Elizabeth]," a source told the magazine.
"In all fairness, Meghan has been busy. But Kate feels like she's put a lot of effort into their friendship and hasn't gotten much in return," one source dished. The insider went on to say that Kate is a "nice person" and doesn't want to see her new sister-in-law fall on her face. However, she is also not willing to dish out advice so freely anymore because of the ill emotions she's feeling at this time.
"She's a nice person and doesn't want to see Meghan fall flat on her face, but at the same time she's cut back on giving her advice," the source said, adding that Kate knew that Meghan would be criticized for wearing an off-the-shoulder dress at the Trooping the Colour ceremony earlier this month, but didn't say anything about it. "She could have saved Meghan from embarrassment. But she didn't say anything," the source continued.
Those close to Kate Middleton claim that it has been "difficult" for her to see Meghan Markle be in the spotlight and being adored by many as she has been out of the public eye on maternity leave since welcoming her third child, son Prince Louis, back in April.
"She feels powerless," the source claims.
"Kate feels left out. [Middleton] spent years working on her image as 'the perfect royal,' and Meghan is stealing her thunder. They're barely on speaking terms. The popularity contest has caused a lot of friction at the palace."
In addition, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, are said to be growing very tired of the alleged feud, and believe that the competition between the two women is "out of control."
