Samuel L. Jackson Does Harrowing Cover Of ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’

Samuel L. Jackson has put his spin on Taylor Swift’s hit song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” infusing it with the actor’s trademark angry and boisterous style to create a hilarious audio clip.

This isn’t the first hit cover/voiceover comedy hit from Samuel L. Jackson. As Entertainment Weekly recalls, he had another viral hit last year with his racy cover of the Go the F*** to Sleep audiobook.

Jackson unveiled his Taylor Swift tribute while making an appearance on London’s 95.8 Capital FM station, with his version of the lyrics not sung as much as it’s spoken in what Entertainment Weekly calls his “Pulp Fiction-style ‘Say what again’ double dare, complete with a few new Tarantino-esque lines at the end.”

It was harrowing, to say the least.

“Sam’s voice bore into our soul,” wrote E! News.

Samuel L. Jackson has been making headlines throughout his press tour for Django Unchained. The movie contains a number of uses of the n-word, and, when an interviewer brought this up to Jackson, the actor made the reporter say the word itself, Gawker noted.

“There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the usage of the N-word in this movie,” reporter Jake Hamilton began before Jackson cut him off.

“No? Nobody? None? The word would be…?’ Jackson asked jokingly. He went on to insist that Hamilton say the full word before moving on to the next question, creating a few awkward moments.
