Bethenny Frankel Divorce: Reality Star Wants Primary Physical Custody, Child Support

Just two days after it was officially filed, the details of Bethenny Frankel’s divorce from Jason Hoppy have emerged.

The 42-year-old reality star is asking for primary physical custody of her and Hoppy’s 2-year-old daughter, Bryn. Not only that, but she is also asking Hoppy for child support — retroactive from the date she filed for divorce — and “medical, dental, optical, therapeutic, and orthodontic expenses” for both her and her daughter, according to TMZ.

Frankel also wants Hoppy, a successful real estate businessman, to move out of their $5 million New York City apartment so that she can have exclusive occupancy. The “Skinnygirl” founder also asked that a judge enforce the couple’s March 5, 2010 prenup.

“This is a preliminary step to move the process forward,” a source close to Frankel told TMZ. “She wants to work this out privately and amicably. All Bethenny cares about is that it works out the best way possible for Bryn.”

Frankel officially filed for divorce from Hoppy last week. They had separated two weeks earlier; Frankel called it an “extremely difficult decision” that she had to accept as the best choice for their family.

“We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority,” she said.

Despite Frankel’s insistence that she wants to work things out “privately and amicably,” money may end up playing a major factor in the divorce proceedings. Frankel is reportedly worth between $25 and $55 million. According to Forbes, she made $12 million last year and placed at 97 on the list of the 100 most powerful celebrities in May 2012.
