WWE Rumors: Was Finn Balor’s Cryptic Tweet About The Undertaker?

Finn Balor as “The Demon” is one of the last few remaining mysterious characters left in the WWE along with Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Kane, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan. Balor has all the star power and wrestling abilities to be successful, but he needs a big-time feud to get over. Is his latest cryptic tweet about The Undertaker?

According to Wrestling Inc., Balor leaving the WWE was a hot topic at the start of the month. It was after Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, his fellow The Club members, were rumored to be on their way out of the WWE because of their unhappiness with the company. However, Anderson and Gallows, along with Balor, are scheduled for this week’s European Tour and the tour of India next month.

Balor was on fire after he debuted on the main roster wherein he became the first ever WWE Universal champion in history. However, his momentum was cut short by a shoulder injury and he missed eight months of action. Balor returned the day after WrestleMania 33, but the WWE has failed to book him properly. And if they book him right, he puts over a 50-year-old legend like Kane, which does not make sense.

Here is the cryptic tweet Finn posted last week that got some people thinking.

Tom Thomas of Daily DDT believes that Finn Balor’s tweet could be perceived in many ways, including a potential feud with The Undertaker. Thomas is hoping that The Undertaker is going to return for one more match and put over Balor at WrestleMania 34 as a passing of the torch moment. The Undertaker did pass the torch to Roman Reigns this year, but Reigns is the heir to John Cena as the face of the WWE.

The Undertaker is a mysterious character, and it would be better if another mysterious character like Finn Balor’s “The Demon” receives the torch. Bray Wyatt already lost credibility because of the WWE’s poor booking decisions, while Braun Strowman is more of a monster character who is hell-bent on destruction.

A picture of the tombstone with the word “bye” on Balor’s tweet is speculated to be a reply to the rumors about him leaving the WWE. However, it could also be perceived as a shot to The Undertaker since “The Deadman” is associated with tombstones, the dead, and graveyards.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that Finn Balor loves to troll the fans on social media, so don’t be surprised if he does not face The Undertaker next year. The only confirmed report at the moment is The Undertaker appearing on the 25th-anniversary of Monday Night Raw in January.
