Lamar Odom Collapses In LA Nightclub Just Two Years After He Almost Died Due To Overdose
Lamar Odom collapsed early Sunday morning at a New York City nightclub, just two years after he almost died during a drug-fueled bender in Las Vegas. According to TMZ, Odom was at the Bootsy Bellows nightclub on the Sunset Strip and he was drinking in the VIP area. At around 2:00 a.m., security and other nightclub goers noticed that Odom had fallen over.
In a video sent to TMZ, Odom looks conscious despite his collapse. Their source say that he saw Odom drinking at the VIP section for several hours before he keeled over.
As we mentioned earlier, Odom has a well-known history of drug and alcohol abuse. It almost took his life in 2015 when he was found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas. Since his recovery, he has vowed that he would get clean.
Lamar promised that he would turn his life around so that he wouldn’t hurt his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, again on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Hollywood Life reported at the time. In the clip, Odom was chatting with Scott Disick who has had his own issues with alcohol addiction.
“I can’t really take the risk,” Lamar says to Scott when he asks him if he’s been contacting any of his old friends. “I can’t do that to that girl [Khloe] again, man.”
Odom added that while he was in the hospital, he felt powerless and like he was trapped in his own body.
But TMZ reports that he has been partying a lot lately at strip clubs and nightclubs which probably aren’t the best places for someone with an addiction problem. In late October, he was seen at a strip club called Crazy Girls, dancing and throwing money at the dancers. He reportedly stayed there until the wee hours of the morning.

According to Us Weekly, Lamar’s publicist, Eve Sarkisyan, has said that his collapse was caused by dehydration.
“Lamar is doing great,” she said on Sunday evening. “He was dehydrated last night and it was really hot in the club. He had an intense workout earlier yesterday and did not get enough fluids.”
But that conflicts with TMZ’s eyewitness report of Odom drinking before the incident occurred.
