‘Saturday Night Live’ Video: Trump, Pence And Manafort Take A Shower, Melania Travels With Body Double [Video]
There’s a new No. 1 trending video on YouTube, titled “Paul Manafort’s House Cold Open – SNL.” In the Saturday Night Live sketch, President Donald Trump is once again portrayed by Alec Baldwin. Trump makes a surprise visit to check in on Paul Manafort, who is portrayed by Alex Moffat. Meanwhile, President Trump forces First Lady Melania Trump to visit Asia by herself, played by Cecily Strong.
The Saturday Night Live version of Melania features the fist lady asking a fake version of Donald why he is so quiet on the airplane. As a result, Melania says that she can finally tell Trump about her day for once. The dummy that sits in for Trump is called dignified, with Melania commenting that Trump did not call Pearl Harbor fake news. Melania noted that with Donald keeping his mouth shut he seemed so presidential.
“I hope I remember how to do this.”
The fake and quiet version of Trump was so attractive to Melania that she leaned in for a kiss, hoping she remembered how to kiss her husband.
Trump, as portrayed in the skit, spoke of needing to be so politically correct these days that he hoped he didn’t get in trouble for talking about Manafort’s oriental rugs. Meanwhile, Manafort bragged that he scored the rugs for “one million bucks” because he paid cash.
Trump spoke of his “Cut Cut Cut” tax plan, with the notion that he was having a stroke when he named the tax plan. Trump advised Manafort that he would have a rough time in jail, because “ethnic groups are going to go to town on you in prison” due to the manner in which Trump offends certain people.
Since Manafort is on house arrest in the sketch and dons an ankle bracelet, Trump takes Paul into the shower to make sure he isn’t wearing a wire, Gone Girl style.
“I would never do that.”
Paul claimed he would never wear a wire in Trump’s presence, while Trump made a joke that those were the same words that plenty of women have said to him.
“That’s what she said. A whole bunch of ‘shes’ have said that.”
Trump also joked that Harvey Weinstein would’ve gotten away with sexual assault if he had been elected president. Vice President Mike Pence and Jeff Sessions join the shower group, with Sessions donning a bathing costume from the 1800s. Calling himself a “sneaky lying little villain,” Jeff picks up a dropped loofah with his “trusty little tail.”
Trump explained that he couldn’t pardon Manafort right away because it would look too suspicious, but planned to dress up Manafort like a turkey to get a pardon by Thanksgiving.
