Harvey Weinstein Reportedly Spotted Dining In Disguise At Phoenix Restaurant

Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was spotted and photographed dining out in Phoenix on Thursday night. The twist? The once-iconic producer, whose name has become synonymous with one of the largest Hollywood sex scandals in modern history, was apparently trying to hide his now-infamous identity with an unsuccessful disguise. As Fox News reports, 65-year-old Weinstein in disguise was seen dining at Chestnut Fine Food & Provisions with an unidentified male companion and sporting orange make-up, a blond wig, and an inscribed baseball cap.

TMZ, who first broke the story of Harvey Weinstein’s attempted incognito dinner, reports that the producer’s cap read “2:24.” According to the tabloid, the hat may have been a reference to the Bible verse Acts 2:24, “But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.”

It has also been reported that Harvey Weinstein attempted to further hide his dinner out by requesting a private room at the restaurant. Unfortunately for Harvey, the private dining room featured glass walls, effectively creating a fishbowl and allowing photos of his “private” night out to be snapped. An employee of Chestnut Fine Food & Provisions confirmed to local media that Weinstein and his party did, in fact, dine at the restaurant on Thursday. However, staff members were largely in the dark about their high-profile dinner guest until the photos (check them out here) went viral.

Over the last several weeks, Harvey Weinstein has seen his once-impeccable reputation and production company fall into ruin in the midst of dozens of allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault made by women who’d worked with the mogul over the decades. As a result of the accusations, Weinstein was fired from the production company that bears his name, and the producer vowed to seek voluntary rehabilitation.

It has been reported that Weinstein’s rehab commitment was the reason that the disgraced celeb was in Phoenix on Thursday to begin with. According to representatives for the producer, Harvey had recently completed a one-week outpatient rehab stint in the Phoenix area and was scheduled for additional outpatient treatment.

Not surprisingly, once the photos surfaced of Weinstein attempting unsuccessfully to hide in plain sight on Thursday night, critics on social media had some serious thoughts and feelings about the situation.

Despite the numerous sexual assault allegations that have been leveled against him, Harvey Weinstein has not been charged with a crime, which means that his failed Thursday night disguise was about evading paparazzi, not the police.
