‘Fixer Upper’ Star Chip Gaines Says He Is Ready For More Babies With Joanna
It turns out Chip and Joanna Gaines may have had a good reason to leave Fixer Upper. With the final season of TLC’s hit renovation show just around the corner, Chip revealed that he is ready to expand the family with Joanna. Is this why they really quit the show?
According to Closer Weekly, Chip explained how he wants more children now that the show is over. Chip and Joanna currently share four children – Drake, 14, Ella, 13, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 7 – all of whom were born prior to Fixer Upper. With their time in front of the cameras at an end, Chip admitted that he wants more kids. What did Joanna have to say about expanding the family?
“Maybe. We have different answers,” she stated.
The change in Joanna’s opinion comes after she gushed about having more kids this past summer. In one interview, the Fixer Upper star confessed that she would like to have another baby and would be thrilled if it were twins. Joanna also admitted that Chip didn’t want any more children, though he has clearly changed his mind as well. Even Chip and Joanna’s youngest girl, Emmie, is on board with having a younger sibling.
There’s no telling whether Chip and Joanna will expand their brood in the near future. The couple quit Fixer Upper to spend time with their family and having a baby would certainly fulfill that goal. Whether or not that happens after the end of the upcoming season is yet to be seen.
Apart from having a baby, they also decided to leave the hit show to save their marriage. In an interview with People, Chip admitted that he and Joanna decided to end the show because they didn’t want to risk ruining their marriage. Chip assured fans that their relationship is as good as it’s ever been, but that might have changed if they kept up their busy schedule. Fortunately, it sounds as though Chip and Joanna quit at just the right time to keep their family intact.
Chip and Joanna are currently gearing up for the fifth and final season of Fixer Upper, which is scheduled to premiere later this month.
