Critics Slam Jessa Duggar Seewald For Her Anniversary Letter To Her Husband

Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband recently celebrated their three-year anniversary. The pair, who have known each other the least amount of time of any Duggar couple before they decided to get married by their own admission, are seemingly happily married and the parents of two young boys.

Jessa Duggar Seewald took the opportunity to share her love for her husband, Ben, in a rather long blog post gushing about how wonderful their relationship is. The mother of two spoke about how amazing of a father Ben is to their two sons and that she is in awe of the fact that he is always learning. She shared that the pair study the Bible together, and she often finds him in prayer in the middle of the night, which brings her to tears knowing she married such a devout Christian man.

Besides Ben’s devotion to God, she also says he helps her stay on the straight and narrow when it comes to making healthy food choices. The pair highlighted eating well and working out as activities they like to do together when they began courting on 19 Kids and Counting.

While some fans were impressed by the missive Jessa penned to her spouse, others were less than wowed by her verbiage.

Jessa Duggar Seewald and her family are known for their extreme Christian values. One of these values, is, of course, not showing off in front of others or bragging about your life. Because of this, many critics of the family have stated that they believe Jessa is a bit of a hypocrite for posting the love letter.

Several critics of the family complained that the letter should have been private if it was so heartfelt and not something to show off to her fans. They stated that the letter was too personal to put on social media and that the sentiments should have been kept between the pair.

Jessa Duggar Seewald has attempted to combat the feelings critics have that she is trying to make her life seem perfect by showing off how messy her house is. However, this also drew the ire from critics who believed her house “looked disgusting.”
