Alec Baldwin And Kevin Spacey Share A Dark History Involving Underage Actress

Alec Baldwin has come forward to admit his own sexist treatment of women over the years in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein, James Toback, Brett Ratner and Kevin Spacey.

Baldwin, whose long-time impersonation of U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live launched him to a new level of fame, admitted to bullying and mistreating women, according to Entertainment Weekly, as his close friend and collaborator James Toback is being accused by sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior by more than 300 women, as reported by the LA Times.

But an April 2017 article by The Hollywood Reporter recently resurfaced, linking Baldwin to Spacey, who is being accused of sexual assault, pedophilia and attempted rape of an underage 14-year-old boy. In addition to that, according to a report by CNN, eight House of Cards employees came forward on Thursday to allege that Spacey turned the set of the Netflix political drama into a “toxic” work environment through a pattern of sexual harassment.

The newly resurfaced story by The Hollywood Reporter shows that Baldwin and Spacey share a dark history involving an underage actress. Baldwin was accused of engaging in sex scenes with actress Nikki Reed on the set of 2006’s indie film Mini’s First Time. Reed was 16 at the time.

In his 2017 memoir Nevertheless, Baldwin responded to the allegations by saying that he was misled by the film’s producers, Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti (Fifty Shades of Grey), about how old Reed was at the time. Baldwin, who was 47 at the time, wrote that it “never occurred to me to ask how old Nikki Reed was,” adding that when he found out that his onscreen lover was underage, “I flipped out on the producers, who had told me something different.”

But this was not what happened, according to Brunetti. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in April, the producer said that Baldwin lied in his memoir. Brunetti, who produced the 2006 film with Spacey and Evan Astrowsky, said that not only was the SNL star aware of Reed’s age, but also that he knew Reed was 16 before he even cast the movie.

“I think he’s been method acting Trump too much and he doesn’t know the difference between fake news anymore,” Brunetti said, adding that there was never any incident when Baldwin lashed out at the producers over Reed’s age. Astrowsky also backed up Brunetti’s claims, calling Baldwin’s version “not accurate,” and adding, “I completely corroborate that.” Spacey never commented on the matter.

This was not the first time underage actresses have been involved in sex or nudity scandals in Spacey’s films. In 1999’s Oscar-winning American Beauty, in which Spacey played the character who fantasizes about having sex with his daughter’s friend, Thora Birch, who played the daughter and was 17 at the time of filming, appeared topless in one of the scenes.

This was also not the first time producers have accused Baldwin of lying in sex scandals. In 2013, Baldwin testified against a French-Canadian actress who he accused of stalking him, besieging him with unwanted emails and phone calls as well as showing up at his home and at public events. The actress, Genevieve Sabourin, was later sentenced to seven months in jail, but Scarface producer and friend of Sabourin, Martin Bregman, later accused Baldwin of lying in court.

“He’s lying,” Bregman told the New York Daily News back in 2013. “He was screwing two women. One of them is his present wife [Hilaria Baldwin] and the other one, I presume, he was doing the girl in question [Sabourin].”

This was not the only time Baldwin has been in a scandal involving underage actresses. In 2007, according to Gawker, Baldwin’s infamous voicemail to his own then 11-year-old daughter leaked online. During the call, the actor unleashed a series of insults at Ireland Baldwin, calling her a “rude, thoughtless little pig,” and saying “you don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being.”

“I don’t give a damn that you’re 12 years old, or 11 years old, or that you’re a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn’t care about what you do as far as I’m concerned,” Baldwin said during the call after Ireland, who lived with mother Kim Basinger in Los Angeles at the time, did not answer the phone.

After the voicemail leaked, Baldwin was banned by a court from seeing his daughter Ireland, now 22, who recently starred in TV movie Campus Caller.
