Joy-Anna Duggar ‘Shotgun’ Wedding Rumors: Fans Speculate On Why Her Pregnancy Was Ignored On ‘Counting On’
Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth tied the knot with her husband, Austin Forsyth, at the end of May. The pair then announced that they were expecting a baby in late August, just three months after their trip down the aisle in true Duggar fashion.
The pair have been battling rumors that they participated in sex before marriage for quite some time now, with the first sign of it starting back in December 2016. While this isn’t a big deal to most young couples, the Duggar family is very strict on not allowing their children to participate in premarital affairs, even kissing.
Some have assumed that Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin did have sex before they were married simply due to the size of Joy’s baby bump. The reality TV star debuted a pregnancy belly that what some thought was the size of a woman that is five months pregnant.
Fans and critics of the show deduced that not mentioning Joy’s pregnancy on the season finale of Counting On meant that she might have something to hide. However, mega-fans of the show are convinced that Joy is just big and that she would never have sex before she was married.
Recently, an unverified source who claims to know the Duggar family spoke to Reddit, doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) and claimed it was very doubtful that Joy and Austin had sex before they were married.
So why would TLC neglect to mention the pregnancy when the Duggars are all about reproduction?
If Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin didn’t engage in premarital sex, fans and critics have deduced that TLC ignored her pregnancy for one very simple reason: to keep all of the focus on Joe and Kendra.
The season finale episode of Counting On was all about Joe Duggar and Kendra Caldwell tying the knot, the second Duggar boy to do so. Joy-Anna appeared in the episode looking heavily pregnant, but failed to mention that she was expecting.
Also noticeably absent from the show was Jill Duggar Dillard having delivered baby Samuel, whom some fear has serious health issues.
However, it won’t be confirmed that Joy-Anna Duggar has something to hide until the baby arrives, who is said to be due in late February or early March.
