Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Will Reportedly Marry In Westminster Abbey, Just Like William And Kate

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have caught the attention of Royal fans with their romance for over a year. Now, rumors claim that the Prince is planning to propose to the Suits star. Will the royal couple follow in the footsteps of Prince William and Kate and marry in Westminster Abbey?

Express reports that Prince Harry and Markle are most likely to marry in Westminster Abbey, although there are still plenty of other possibilities. Other venue options include St. Paul’s, St. James’s, and Windsor Castle. A wedding in Markle’s hometown, Los Angeles, is a less-likely option but is definitely not out of the question.

Before September, it was unclear whether or not the Prince and Markle would be allowed to marry at Westminster, due to Markle’s previous marriage to film producer, Trevor Engleson. Since the couple was reportedly granted permission to marry in this location, most assume they will choose to do so.

After all, Westminster Abbey is a prominent location for the royal family. Not only have royal events and coronations historically taken place in this church, but some famous royal weddings were celebrated there as well. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip were married in Westminster Abbey in November 1947. Then, on April 29, 2011, Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot at this same location.

According to The Mirror, Markle is not only opting for Westminster Abbey as the location for their wedding, but she’s also searching for the perfect dress to wear as a royal bride. When asked what kind of dress she wanted, Markle said that she preferred a classic and simple look.

Prince Harry and Markle have not spoken much publicly about their relationship, but according to The Sun, the two have been spotted enjoying dates together on several occasions. Then, in early October, Prince Harry reportedly took a big step, taking Markle to Buckingham Palace for tea with the Queen.

Friends and family of the couple have not yet confirmed rumors of an engagement or given details regarding the future marriage. But clearly the pair are getting serious, and another royal wedding, more than likely at Westminster, is reportedly in the cards.
