Duggar Family News: Kids Segregated While Testing Recipes, Johannah Called ‘Mini’ Joy-Anna Duggar
The holiday season is right around the corner, which means that it’s time for the Duggar kids to start whipping up traditional recipes in the kitchen. With so many of the girls, including Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy-Anna Duggar, married, they are doing their best to keep the family traditions alive. But the latest video featuring the girls cooking in the kitchen raised some questions about the Duggars segregating kids by gender yet again. The family has a history of dividing up girls and boys as they engage in activities, and it looks like this holiday season, things won’t be different.
Jill Duggar, who recently announced with her husband that she be discontinuing her missionary work in Central America, was seen back in her childhood home, teaching young Johannah how to prepare a family dessert recipe. This video of them quickly brought about criticism of how the Duggars segregate their kids by gender.
“But for once I would love to see the men cook and the women take a break,” a fan wrote. “Also love how one of them is wearing pants. She is finally free to be who she wants to be and wear what she wants.”
Another thing that the family noticed is that the younger members of the Duggar family are growing up. Johannah, who recently celebrated her 12th birthday, was brought into the spotlight again. Many of the fans noticed how she is a replica of her recently married and pregnant sister, Joy-Anna Duggar.
“Wow! A mini Joy,” one fan commented.
“I loved how Johannah popped some apple slices into her mouth,” a fan noted. “Gotta have a little taste test”

While Johannah is a little too young to enter into any kind of courtship, it is true that Joy met her husband, Austin Forsyth, when she was not even ten-years-old. They got married before she turned 20, which means that it may only take Johannah six years to start a family of her own.
The 12-year-old Duggar was one of the bridesmaids at Joy-Anna and Austin’s wedding. The fans could not help but notice just how mature she looked.

“How is she only 12? She is grown up and pretty,” a fan remarked. “I can’t believe she is only 12. My she has turned into a beautiful young lady.”

As Johannah is being primed to be another obedient wife, with her sisters teaching her family recipes, Joy-Anna Duggar is preparing to enter a new phase in her life with motherhood. The 20-year-old bride revealed her huge baby bump just three months after her wedding, and she and Austin cannot wait to meet their first kid.
