Why Adam Levine Thinks Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Are ‘Disgusting’

Adam Levine is weighing in on fellow The Voice coach Blake Shelton’s romance with Gwen Stefani as the couple celebrate two years of dating, and it turns out the Maroon 5 frontman actually finds their love to be pretty “disgusting” and makes him want to “vomit.”

Levine revealed what he really thinks of Blake and Gwen’s romance after they first met on The Voice back in 2014 while still married to other people (Stefani to Gavin Rossdale and Shelton to Miranda Lambert) this week, and joked that the twosome are “so in love it’s disgusting.”

Adam even went on to slam the couple’s over-the-top PDA – which had some fans switching off The Voice last season – by admitting that seeing Blake and Gwen get all touchy feely with one another makes him want to “vomit.”

“I’m so affectionate and gross with my wife,” he said of his Victoria’s Secret model wife Behati Prinsloo, who’s currently expecting their second child, but admitted that Stefani and Shelton’s PDA is “a whole other level of… vomit.”

But while Adam may not have had the kindest things to say about his friends during the October 31 interview on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show, it sounds like the star was only joking around as he then defended the twosome from all the naysayers.

“Because [their relationship is] in the public eye, a lot of people want to have their own bulls*** opinions about it, but I’m, like, there,” Levine hit back per E! News, shutting down the haters who have claimed in the past that their romance isn’t authentic or is all for show.

“I see it every day,” he said. “I have a pretty unique perspective on it, and it’s real, man.”

“It’s so funny. They found each other at really interesting times in their lives,” he continued of the couple, referring to their respective divorces, adding that he thinks the two finding love again with each other is “really beautiful.”

Levine also admitted that he still ribs Shelton over his newfound love with the “Used To Love You” singer, admitting that he often tells the country star that Stefani is totally out of his league.

“I still tell [Shelton], ‘I can’t believe you get to be with Gwen Stefani’… It’s just not f**king right!” Adam joked, before confessing that he has “no idea” if Blake is planning to get down on one knee and propose to his girlfriend anytime soon.

Adam’s talk about Blake and Gwen comes amid swirling rumors that the two allegedly haven’t been as close as they once were on the currently airing season of The Voice.

Sources recently alleged to Life & Style just last week that the once very close friends had supposedly been “drifting apart” lately after becoming extremely close since they first met on the show back in 2011.

“They definitely aren’t as close as they once were,” an insider alleged to the magazine just last week, claiming that Blake and Adam’s interactions backstage at the show “seemed forced.”

However, Levine’s recent confessions about the country star and his girlfriend seem to prove that they’re still pretty close friends after sitting alongside one another for 13 consecutive seasons on The Voice.

The Voice airs on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights.
