‘Counting On’ Star Joy-Anna Duggar Fuels The Shotgun Wedding Rumors With Her Latest Instagram Post
Since announcing that they are expecting their first child just weeks after getting married, everything Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth do adds fuel to the shotgun wedding rumors. Does the fact that the couple is documenting her pregnancy on social media differently than the other Duggar women mean they are trying to hide something?
According to The Hollywood Gossip, the couple recently posted a picture on their joint Instagram account celebrating Duggar’s birthday, but it doesn’t show her belly and could possibly even be an old photo of the Counting On star.
When Duggar’s older sisters, Jill and Jess, were pregnant with their sons, they each consistently updated their social media pages with baby bump progression pics; complete with a weekly time stamp.
But, the 20-year-old is doing things her own way. She has only posted two bump photos; one at about 12 weeks and another around the 18-week mark. However, in both pictures, Duggar appears to be a lot farther along than she is claiming.
The shotgun wedding rumors began when, after only being engaged three months, the Forsyth’s moved their wedding day from October to May. Then, less than three months later, the pair announced they were expecting their first child. For many people, the timeline doesn’t make any sense, and they have started wondering if this baby really did appear after the two walked down the aisle.
In Duggar world, courting, which is dating with the intent to marry, is full of strict rules, including physical contact being limited to only side hugs and no unsupervised dates or communication. So, if Joy-Anna Duggar did get pregnant before their wedding day, it would be a huge scandal.
The two had admitted to breaking some of the courting rules, including a full front hug when he proposed and some pre-engagement hand-holding. But sex before marriage would be crushing the biggest Duggar rule of all and would be seen as hypocritical by many.
If Joy-Anna did get pregnant on their honeymoon as they claim, why are the two being so secretive about her pregnancy progression? As Radar Online reports, the latest picture features Duggar is in near-darkness and is completely the opposite of what fans usually get to see during a Duggar pregnancy.
The two have made it clear that they want a large family but apparently sharing specific baby bump details is not part of their plan.
