Cara Delevingne was just being a good friend when she was caught staring at Rihanna's ample cleavage. The 25-year-old English actress recently explained what really went down during the controversial photo op with the Barbados-born singer.
On Friday, Cara made a special appearance at The Graham Norton Show where she was shown the viral photo of herself three months ago, looking straight at Rihanna's breasts on the red carpet for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
The fashion model-turned-actress, who was surprised to see the photo on the screen, pointed out that there were so many distracting things on the red carpet, including the singer's jaw-dropping outfit.
Apparently, Delevingne, who has been close friends with the singer for quite a while now, expressed her admiration for Rihanna's fashionable ensemble at that time.
Cara went on to explain that she was just being a good friend when Rihanna asked her to be on boob watch, especially since the singer is wearing a busty outfit.
It can be recalled that in July, Rihanna and Cara graced the London premiere of their sci-fi film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The "Diamonds" singer flaunted her ample cleavage in a red Giambattista Valli gown with a plunging neckline.
Delevingne, on the other hand, opted for a fashionable Burberry jumpsuit. It didn't take long for Cara Delevingne and Rihanna's photo to go viral. But instead of being embarrassed, the supermodel took to Instagram and poked fun at herself for bluntly staring at the singer's breasts on the red carpet.
Delevingne shared a meme of the photo, which reads, "Cara is all of us." She then captioned the post with a simple laughing emoji and even tagged Rihanna.
In Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets film, Cara plays the role of Sergeant Laureline, while Rihanna portrays Bubble.
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Cara Delevingne opened up about an embarrassing experience when she asked a fan to buy alcohol for her. Speaking with Graham Norton, the actress shared that she was trying to buy a bottle of wine when the shopkeeper asked for her ID.
Apparently, the employee was not able to recognize her and mistook her for a 16-year-old trying to buy booze. Determined to make her purchase, Cara asked a fan in the queue, who immediately recognized her, to buy the wine for her.
"The other day I went to the shop to buy a bottle of wine and I got ID'd because they said I looked 16. At the same time a fan in the queue asked for a picture – it was all so embarrassing and then I had to ask him to buy the wine for me! It was actually all very funny."Check out Cara Delevingne's interview with The Graham Norton Show in the video below. [Featured Image by Joel Ryan/Invision/AP Images]
