Concerned Duggar Fans Ask Others To Write To TLC To Ensure ‘Counting On’ Doesn’t Get Canceled

The Duggar family suffered through a cancelation once before when TLC pulled their popular show, 19 Kids and Counting. After the 2015 scandal that revealed eldest son, Josh Duggar, had molested five young women including four of his younger sisters, sponsors pulled out of the show and it went off the air.

Since then, the family has been given a spin-off series, Counting On, which focuses on the older Duggar children as they get married and have children of their own. Josh Duggar, however, does not appear on this series.

Last week, the season finale focused on Joe Duggar’s wedding to his girlfriend, Kendra Caldwell. However, fans are concerned that it could be the end of the line for the series, which has suffered poor ratings.

Some feel that the show has become too repetitive, as with 19 children all growing up and having children, the story lines all become increasingly similar with kids courting, getting engaged, marrying and then subsequently having a baby.

But die-hard Duggar fans are very worried that this means the show is over for good, as no new season for the show has been announced. The Duggar family has stated they would let the public know as soon as they get word, but it doesn’t look like they’ve heard anything yet.

Those who run the website, Duggar Family Blog, which is one of the largest fan sites in the world on the family, have implored fans to write to TLC asking to ensure that their favorite mega family stays on the air.

The fan site has also asked fans to consider ways to get more people to watch the show, effectively playing the role of outreach manager. The website claims that the voices of the fans have been heard previously by TLC’s parent company, and hopes that they will listen to those who watch the Duggar family’s adventures every Monday night.

While many are hoping the show stays on the air, and are doing everything in their power to keep it on TLC, others are not so thrilled with the way the family has handled Josh Duggar’s scandals. Instead, some believe the show is far overdue for cancelation and some critics may use the suggested website to let TLC know.
