First Lady Melania Trump and President Donald Trump stepped away from the White House for a night out on the town, having dinner at the Trump International Hotel in D.C., on Saturday, October 28. Earlier in the day, according to David Smith of the Guardian, President Trump had left Trump National Golf Club at 3:12 p.m., after being famously given the middle finger by a woman riding a bicycle near the presidential motorcade.
Not long after President Trump returned to the White House, he'd soon find himself leaving again, this time stepping out with Melania and arriving at the hotel by 7:50 p.m. President Trump and Melania Trump spent almost exactly two hours at the Trump International Hotel, with the duo being driven away to the cheers of a small crowd at 9:54 p.m.
As seen in the following photos and videos shot at the Trump International Hotel in D.C., the crowd at the hotel screamed and waved as Melania and President Trump strolled by. The crowd grabbed their smartphones as Mr. Trump waved and thanked the crowd. Melania smiled and continued to walk by, adorned in tan heels and a black dress.Arriving at the White House a mere four minutes later, Mr. Trump and Melania's two-hour date seemingly wound down to a close. However, the hubbub over the first couple having dinner was just beginning on social media, as Instagram users began uploading photos and videos like those above and below of their encounters with the Trumps.
Squeals of delight can be heard in Instagram videos like the following one, as President Trump walks by his admirers at the hotel.Certain social media users wrote about the unusual and unexpected date night that they shared with Melania and Donald.Other Instagram users were able to get close enough photos of Melania and President Trump that viewers could witness them breaking bread as they talked.Some social media users captured photos of Secret Service members guarding the property. Others simply took random photos with President Trump. Certain captions of the social media photos of President Trump come complete with quips about dinner at the hotel trumping other Saturday night dinners, while one Instagram user explained that she brought her parents to meet Trump.
