Joy-Anna Duggar Gets Birthday Wishes: Austin Forsyth Doesn’t Mention Her Pregnancy, But Her Family Does

Joy-Anna Duggar celebrated her 20th birthday on October 28 and was showered with celebratory social media messages from her family members and friends. However, there was a marked difference between the praiseful posts from her parents and her husband, Austin Forsyth.

Austin took a page from the Counting On season finale by neglecting to mention his wife’s pregnancy in his Instagram post wishing her a happy birthday, but the unborn baby was one of the first things that Joy-Anna’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, remarked on in their Facebook message. Austin’s short love letter began with a declaration that there is only one thing in the world more important to him than his wife, and that is his faith.

“Happy birthday to the love of my life! Besides my salvation, you have been the best thing that has happened in my life!” Austin wrote.

“Happy 20th Birthday sweet, Joy-Joy!!! We can’t believe you are all grown up, married and having your own baby!” read the message from Jim Bob and Michelle on the Duggar Family Facebook page.

Austin Forsyth did not include any photos of his wife’s baby bump in the slideshow of six pictures that he shared with his Instagram followers. Most of the images were up close snapshots of himself and his wife, but the mini photo album also included one solo image of Joy-Anna that was taken during their honeymoon in Switzerland. In it, the Duggar daughter is posing in front of a snow-covered peak near a body of water.

Forsyth praised his wife’s love of the great outdoors by mentioning that she enjoys going hunting with him. As reported by the Duggar Family Blog, Austin and Joy-Anna actually celebrated their engagement by dining on some grilled venison from a deer that they hunted together. Their special feast took place in the woods of the Arkansas Ozarks.

In his birthday message, Austin also thanked his wife for being his “spiritual encourager” and “working partner.” Joy-Anna was shown helping her husband renovate homes on Counting On, and flipping houses even played a role in their love story. Before Austin’s father would give him his blessing to get married, the younger Forsyth had to flip five houses. Austin and Joy-Anna were in the process of working on their own future home when they tied the knot in May, so they had to spend their first few months of marriage living in an RV.

Joy-Anna and Austin’s marriage may have started out with a lot of hard work in the form of hard labor, but Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar think that they have a bright future ahead of them. In their Facebook post about Joy-Anna’s birthday, the former 19 Kids and Counting stars wrote that they’re “excited to see what God is going to do” with the young couple’s lives, and they shared their hope that the future parents have many “blessings” to look forward to.
