Wozniacki And McIlroy Engaged? Diamond Ring Sparks Speculation

Are Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy engaged? Rumors started swirling around the celebrity couple this week after Wozniacki was spotted waering a diamond ring on her left ring finger at the Brisbane International.

The Herald Sun published the photo under the title: “Is this the photo that proves tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and world No.1 golfer Rory McIlroy are engaged?”

No, no it’s not.

A rep for the tennis star told the Daily Mail that the engagement rumors are “not true.” The AFP also reported that Danish women tend to wear their engagement rings on their right ring finger.

So no, it doesn’t look like Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki are engaged just yet.

McIlroy and Wozniacki may not be heading down the aisle anytime soon but the two sports stars have been seeing a lot of each other these days. McIlroy skipped the $7 million WGC-HSBC Champions in November to watch Wozniacki play and the couple will spend the week in Australia for the Brisbane International.

But don’t worry about Wozniacki distracting the number one golfer in the world from his game.

McIlroy said:

“Seeing how hard she works and how hard she practices and how dedicated she is, it definitely flipped a switch with me that I could be a little more like that. She’s definitely been a great influence on me.”
