Meghan Markle’s Sunglasses Crash Designer’s Website, But You Can Still Get This Coat Kate Middleton Wore, Too

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first public appearance at the Invictus Games last month and fans couldn’t get enough of the actress’s gorgeous style. According to Hello Magazine, the Suits star wore a pair of Finlay & Co Percy shades for the outing, and the company’s website crashed after fans rushed to buy a pair of Markle’s sunglasses.

David Lochhead, the director of Finlay & Co., confirmed that they made over $20,000 after Markle wore the glasses with Harry. Lochhead explained how the glasses have been selling well all summer, but sales kicked into high gear after Markle was photographed wearing them with her royal boyfriend. A similar thing happened back in 2012 when Pippa Middleton wore the brand for the US Open in New York.

Although Finlay & Co. has only been around since 2012, it has become a popular brand amongst celebrities. Apart from Markle, Rihanna, Jenson Button, Cara Delevingne, and Gigi Hadid have all worn the brand in recent years. Nobody, however, has had the same impact on sales as Markle, and she isn’t even a part of the royal family yet.

While it is hard to find a pair of Meghan Markle’s famous sunglasses, In Style reports that fans can still buy her favorite coat. The actress is very fond of the outerwear made by a Toronto-based company called Sentaler, which Kate Middleton has been known to wear as well. Markle has been spotted wearing the coats on several occasions and was recently seen sporting a Sentaler long, wide collar coat during production of the new season of Suits.

Even better, Sentaler sends portions of the company’s sales to a local charity called the SickKids Foundation, which helps sick children who are less fortunate. You can also find a number of different charities that will accept your gently used coats for those who are in need.

Apart from the sunglasses and coat, Markle donned a white “Husband” shirt from designer Misha Nonoo for her first public outing with Harry. She also wore a pair of Mother Denim Jeans and completed her look with a pair of flats from Sarah Flint.

Meghan Markle has not commented on all the publicity her style has generated.
