‘Boy Meets World’ Star Rider Strong Engaged

Former Boy Meets World star Rider Strong is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Alexandra Barreto.

The couple met in 2006 when they were both acting in the comedy-drama series Pepper Dennis. The show starred Rebecca Romjin as the title character, a television reporter at the fictional news station WeiE. Strong played Chick, Dennis’ cameraman and unrequited crush. Barreto had a recurring role as Blanca Martinez. The series only ran 13 episodes from April to July and was the last show to premiere on the WB before it transitioned to the CW.

Shortly after Pepper Dennis was canceled, Strong and Barreto worked together on a campaign video for Barack Obama.

Strong proposed with a “an engagement ring he made himself,” TooFab.com reports.

Earlier this month, Strong’s Boy Meets World co-star Danielle Fishel also got engaged to boyfriend Tim Belusko, whom she met after she went back to college at the age of 27. She worried she would be the “old lady in class.”

“I persevered and sometimes I wasn’t the oldest person in class, some of the whisperers became good friends, and I did so well in math, I even became a tutor,” Fishel said. “And that is how I met my fiancé.”

Fishel later tweeted, “If I had my way, my wedding reception might just be 3-4 hours of @UsherRaymondIV ‘s music.”

Strong recently said that he was happy for Fishel and Ben Savage for returning for the Boy Meets World sequel, Girl Meets World, but that he currently doesn’t have any involvement in the show.

“There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years,” Strong said. “But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, its own show. It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set of characters.”

Congratulations to Strong and Barreto on their engagement.
