WWE Rumors: The Shield’s Reunion Leading To Massive Heel Turn

Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns officially reunited The Shield during this week’s edition of Raw. The WWE Universe was ecstatic to see “The Hounds of Justice” demolish Cesaro, Sheamus, and The Miz. Later on, the trio also laid out Braun Strowman. It’s been announced that The Shield will face Cesaro, Sheamus, The Miz, and “The Monster Among Men” at WWE TLC in an anticipated 4-on-3 handicap match.

It’s been reported that WWE officials made the decision to reunite The Shield for WWE TLC because both John Cena and Brock Lesnar will be absent from the show. The powers that be wanted a huge draw to sell the event. Along with the main roster debut of Asuka, The Shield has made the upcoming PPV must see. A lot of rumors are circling the trio about their current run and how long the powers that be want it to last.

The expectation is Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins will be going their separate ways by the end of the year. As of this writing, the WWE Universe is assuming that The Shield’s reunion is a way for Roman to earn favor as a babyface with the fans. Although that is one of the ulterior motives of the trio’s reunion, there are some creative plans in the works for The Lunatic Fringe that could last all the way to WrestleMania 34 next year.

It’s being reported that WWE officials are discussing the idea of Dean Ambrose turning against The Shield in a similar manner to the way Seth Rollins disbanded the trio back in 2014. Ambrose would have a major heel turn before the end of the year and would rekindle his rivalry with Rollins. Their rivalry would have a fresh dynamic and WWE officials are thinking about building them to a huge match at WrestleMania 34.

Since The Shield just reunited earlier this week, it seems too early to speculate about how their run is going to end. However, it’s clear that WWE officials aren’t planning on keeping the “Hounds of Justice” together for long. It might be a good thing that the powers that be have an endgame in mind. Whatever huge angles that are being planned, The Shield is expected to be booked strongly through at least the WWE TLC PPV.
