Justin Bieber Accused Of Animal Cruelty By Hamster Association In California
Justin Bieber has animal cruelty claims from the California Hamster Association. Yes, you read that correctly: There is an entire group devoted solely to the love and care of the furry little critters. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the teen pop star gave his pet to a female fan during a recent autograph signing event.
The fact that Tori, the recipient of PAC the hamster, was gifted the animal in a highly-charged atmosphere appears to be one of the reasons the California Hamster Association (CHA) is irritated with Bieber.
A representative of the California Hamster Association stated during an interview with TMZ that hamsters routinely succumb to illness quickly when undergoing a “sudden environmental change.” An unexpected alteration in living circumstances happens every time the furry little creatures are purchased in a store, so it is unclear how the teeny-bopper singer did anything more egregious than the guy at the local pet shop.
The CHA spokesperson had this to say when voicing Justin Bieber animal cruelty allegations:
“The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom.”
Justin Bieber’s hamster, PAC, is reportedly alive and well and enjoying all the lush trappings one would associate with being a celebrity rodent. The singer’s camp has not offered a response to the animal cruelty claims by the hamster association, The Hollywood Gossip notes.
The California Hamster Association website notes that the group will be hosting the Hamster Show at Griffith Park in Los Angeles on January 12, weather permitting. All hamster must submit to a health check before taking part in all the pet fun and judging.
