Several private photos have been released of President Barack Obama in intimate moments throughout 2012. You can check out these images at the foot of the page.
Pete Souza, the White House photographer, caught several snaps, one of which shows Obama having fun with his staffer’s child, who is dressed up as Spider-Man. Obama pretends to be caught in Peter Parker’s alter-egos web, and these showcase Obama’s down-to-earth and more touching side.
Other images show the President hugging his daughters Malia and Sasha at this year’s DNC, another sees First Lady Michelle and Obama watching the sunset over Chicago’s city skyline at Lake Michigan, and we also get a chance to see Obama running around a swimming pool with a large water gun whilst Sasha fires water at him.
Obama can then be seen pulling off his bow tie as he boards an elevator after a long day which saw him sworn in as President, and then attend ten inaugural balls.
You can also see Obama listening intently during a White House briefing, the President coaching his daughter Sasha’s basketball team, and Vice President Joe Biden practicing his golf swing with Obama on the White House putting green.
Obama recently was called Time’s Man Of The Year for the second time and the magazine’s editor, Rick Stengel, stated, “He’s basically the beneficiary and the author of a kind of new America – a new demographic, a new cultural America that he is now the symbol of.”
