Lea Michele Shares Touching Tribute To Corey Monteith On The Four-Year Anniversary Of His Death

Lea Michele, Glee star and Broadway actress, shared a touching tribute to her late boyfriend Corey Monteith four years after his death from a heroin overdose. The star dated the actor from 2011 until his death in 2013. He had been to rehab earlier in the year to help kick his drug habit, but he was found dead on July 13, 2013, in his Vancouver, Canada, hotel room with champagne and heroin in his system.

The pair met on the set of the Fox hit series Glee, and Lea Michele maintains that Monteith was the love of her life, despite his issues with drugs and alcohol.

Lea Michele has written several songs for him and has had several tattoos to commemorate her lost love. She has a small number 5, which was Monteith’s character’s football jersey number. She also has the words, “If you say so,” tattooed on her, which were his last words to her.

The star posted a photo of her hand holding a photo of the pair together.

She penned the caption, “4 years and it still feels like yesterday.. love you more C.”

Reports have stated that this time of year is always hard for Lea Michele, as it reminds her of the love she lost.

The star posted a similar tribute to her lost love on Twitter.

Sources claim that Lea Michele is still “devoted” to Corey Monteith and that a big part of her heart will always remain with him.

Corey was a big inspiration for Lea’s first album, Louder. The star has subsequently released another album, titled Places, that debuted in April of this year.

Lea Michele has dated on and off since the loss of Corey, but she has not yet settled down or found a long-time love since his death. It’s understandable that the star wants to take things slowly as the process of grief can take a long time to fully heal from.

Currently, she is working on a television project called The Mayor. She last appeared on Fox’s Scream Queens, but the show was canceled after its second season’s dismal ratings.

She still resides in Los Angeles.
