Trump Roasted On Twitter After Tweeting ‘I Have Very Little Time For Watching TV’

President Donald Trump is getting quite the heated response to a recent tweet, in which President Trump claimed he has very little time for watching television. Folks are questioning that Twitter statement by Mr. Trump, especially in light of pool reports that claimed President Trump took 40 minutes to get off of Air Force One on Sunday, May 7, after returning from a weekend golf trip, as reported by the Inquisitr. It was the same night that Politico White House reporter Josh Dawsey noted that President Trump’s 40-minute delay on the tarmac inside Air Force One after it landed caused Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to get off of Air Force One, get back on again, leave once more, and then get back on Air Force One once more. Kushner told the press that everything was fine, and President Trump was mysteriously “working on something.”

Intrepid social media users wondered if that “something” the president was working on included watching former President Barack Obama’s Profile in Courage Award speech on television, which lined up perfectly with the 40 minutes Mr. Trump kept his family waiting. As reported by the Washington Post, Mr. Obama spoke at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum that night.

Now President Trump is claiming on Twitter that he has little time for watching TV, and that statement is getting a big response in the Twitter reply section of the tweet.

Some of the top Twitter replies as of this writing to Mr. Trump’s tweet include folks saying that President Trump often retweets Fox & Friends TV segments.

Others have noticed that topics currently covered by mainstream media such as CNN or MSNBC end up immediately tweeted about on the @RealDonaldTrump Twitter account as if President Trump is watching the TV segment while tweeting.

As reported by Bradd Jaffy of NBC Nightly News, at 9:09 a.m., Philip Rucker of MSNBC reported that President Trump has been watching a lot of TV news programs recently to absorb coverage of the recent scandals dogging Trump’s administration. Exactly 30 minutes later, President Trump published his tweet about not watching much television.

A search for “Trump TV” on Twitter results in plenty of screenshots like the below one, with President Trump claiming he watches a lot of TV.

Plenty of videos on YouTube also proclaim that Mr. Trump watches lots of TV.
