‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Colin Rigs Cane Paternity Results?

The Young and the Restless spoilers for next week reveal that on Tuesday, July 11, Juliet Helton (Laur Allen) gets a call from Genoa City Memorial telling her the results of the paternity test are back. Juliet is 100 percent sure that the baby is Cane Ashby’s (Daniel Goddard), but a kid with his one-night stand is the last thing he needs. But if the results come back that Cane isn’t the daddy, is that the end of it, or is there more to the story? Did someone tamper with the test? There are loads of theories out there about how this will play out, but it seems likely that Cane’s fate might be the result of a fix rather than fate.

Juliet is not a con woman

Y&R fans hope that Cane is not her baby daddy and many assume Juliet is running a scam on Cane. If she is, Juliet is running a very long con. Who would move across the world after a one-night stand only to accept a job that was less than she wanted and then work hard at it for months? That’s not a scam. That’s Juliet pursuing her career. Plus, she hasn’t tried to reveal the info of their mistake to anyone, nor has Juliet threatened to. The only reason Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) knows is because Cane won’t keep quiet.

Even when Hilary cornered Juliet on the sex secret, Juliet insisted that it was a mistake and asked Hilary not to expose the truth. And as for the lawsuit, that was Hilary’s idea because she hates Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) and wants to ruin her life. Hilary has since backed off and now, even if she turns over the video that proves Juliet lied about the harassment, it’s probably too late. No doubt Juliet already cashed that big Brash & Sassy check before anything could turn circumstances against her.

Cane and Juliet certain they had sex

What seems far more likely than Juliet conning Cane is that she will soon be the victim of a paternity scam. Both Juliet and Cane are sure they had sex. Some Young and Restless fans insist Cane was too drunk to “perform,” but nonetheless, both of them think they did the deed. Juliet also seems convinced that Cane is the baby daddy and that’s why she consented to the paternity test without too much protest. Juliet is confident of the results, but some The Young and the Restless spoilers now tease that Cane will not be a DNA match for the baby.

Cane has been lying for months, and now it’s cost him his job and could cost him his family. Sure Cane is desperate enough to fake the paternity test, but he seems to be in too much of a panic to think clearly. But do you know who is cool under pressure? Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) is always a smooth criminal. Remember Cane told Colin about his lady troubles and Colin advised him to stick with the lie. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) doesn’t want Cane and Lily to split, so Colin might intervene. Colin is capable of almost anything – particularly if it will save Jill some stress.

Will Colin rig the paternity test?

Colin had no problem getting his hands dirty. The guy has proven himself time and again to be a dirtbag. He’s a blackmailer, thief, poisoner, drug dealer, and murderer. Tampering with a DNA test would be nothing to Colin.

Since Cane made the appointment and then insisted that Juliet submits to the blood test, he will seem the likelier suspect if the results turn out falsified. If the DNA report says Cane is not the daddy and Juliet knows for certain she hasn’t slept with anyone else, Juliet won’t accept the test results.

It seems likely that this plot will play out for months and this paternity test won’t be the conclusion of the Cane cheating plot. The timing of Colin’s return is suspicious because it aligns to Cane being neck deep in potential baby mama drama. But don’t believe the crazy rumors that Juliet will hand over her baby to Lily to raise. Lily will not want the baby, and Juliet seems committed to her unborn child. We’ll see how this plays out next week when the paternity test is back. But knowing Y&R, fans should not expect the test to be the final factor in this story.
