Jaimie Alexander: New Romance With Peter Facinelli Is Exciting, Scary

Jaimie Alexander is the first romance for Peter Facinelli after splitting with wife Jennie Garth, and the Thor actress said the relationship is both exciting and a bit scary.

Speaking to People magazine, Jaimie Alexander said she and Facinelli started their relationship slowly and then evolved into something more than friends. The two went public when they showed up for the Breaking Dawn — Part 2 premiere in November.

“We’ve been friends forever and had a lot of mutual friends and we reconnected in the middle of the year,” the 28-year-old Jaimie Alexander toldPeople. “It was one of those things where I’d been single for a very long time and he was going through a lot. We sort of bonded.”

Alexander said the timing for her and Facinelli was just right, though the relationship is still new and a bit frightening at times.

“It’s very new to me and it’s scary,” she told People. “But it’s also something we don’t want to give up on because I know how it makes me feel in my heart. It makes me feel really good.”

She added, “He’s a good guy with a great family and I couldn’t be any luckier.”

Though they have been together publicly for nearly a month, Alexander and Facinelli’s relationship has been thrown into a new light after comments from his former wife, Jennie Garth. The former 90210 star filed for divorce from Facinelli star earlier this year after 11 years of marriage but says seeing his new relationship with Jaimie Alexander has been very difficult, the Daily Mail noted.
