Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are back for another round of laughs together, as the first Daddy’s Home 2 trailer was released. While the dad and stepdad worked out their issues in the original movie, it looks like even more dads are going to be thrown into the mix for the Daddy’s Home sequel. Check out the Daddy’s Home 2 movie trailer below.
Not only will we see Ferrell and Wahlberg butting heads with their own parenting skills, but now it looks like their own fathers are going to be causing troubles as well. John Lithgow and Mel Gibson join the Daddy’s Home 2 cast, and they have very similar personalities as their sons.
In the trailer, we see that Brad (Will Ferrell) and Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) are still trying to figure out this co-parenting thing. Dusty may have adapted a new personality and a softer side in the original movie, but it looks like that will be tested with the appearance of his father, played by Mel Gibson. Of course, Gibson still rubs a lot of people the wrong way, so will that deter fans from seeing the movie?
Time will tell, but the Daddy’s Home 2 trailer definitely looks like we could see Gibson in a pretty funny role. Add in the fact that Ferrell and Lithgow share a kiss while at the airport since they haven’t seen each other in so long (it has been two weeks). It looks like the two grandpas will be spending the holidays with their families, so tensions will be high.
From the trailer, you can see that Wahlberg’s dad is a player. He arrives at the airport with “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC playing, as he flirts with two of the flight attendants. He is surprised to see Ferrell there, as he thought he was the driver and not the stepdad.
Of course, Ferrell is there to pick up his father, who happens to arrive with “Love Will Keep Us Together” by Captain and Tennille playing in the background.
This is, of course, when Ferrell and Lithgow share a passionate kiss. It is too good not to watch, so check out the Daddy’s Home 2 trailer here. Daddy’s Home 2 debuts in movie theaters in November.
