Miranda Lambert Still Thinks Of Blake Shelton? ‘Sometimes You Have To Be Reminded Of The Bad Times’

It’s been almost two years since Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got divorced and both appeared to have already moved on with their respective partners Anderson East and Gwen Stefani. However, that doesn’t mean that they have forgotten about what they have been through after their split.

During an interview with the Delilah radio show, the 33-year-old songstress talked about her latest single “Tin Man” and explained what it means. According to CMT, she described how some people have a love/hate relationship with her new song.

“I’m sorry, and you’re welcome,” Lambert said. “Sometimes you have to be reminded of the bad times so you can stay strong. The biggest blessing of pain is the reward on the other side.”

Miranda may not have directly mentioned that it was about her divorce from Blake, but she admitted in the past that she had a difficult time after their split. In fact, she decided to remain silent for several months and instead focused on writing songs for her new album The Weight of These Wings.

“It’s a hard one, but it’s good. It’s the kind of song that makes you feel everything — even if you don’t want to,” Lambert said of the song which she co-wrote with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall.

“It’s so therapeutic, right? That’s what music does. It gets you through it. Then you can feel it and then turn on something really happy,” she added.

During an interview with Billboard, Lambert confessed how nervous she was about her new album because it took her a year writing and recording songs while trying to live a normal life. The Pistol Annies member revealed that she’s pretty straightforward with her music so listeners would find out everything that happened in her life including the bad times with Shelton.

“Every record I’ve ever made has been a reflection of where I am right then in my life, however old I am. And I’ve never held back at all,” she said. “But this time, with what I happened to be going through in my life, being honest was never really a choice. Everybody knew anyway. So I just said, I’m gonna journal it, and — good days and bad days — use it for my art.”

Miranda Lambert’s divorce from Blake Shelton seemed to have helped her create music that people can relate with. In fact, she won numerous awards at the Academy of Country Music Awards a few months ago including Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

According to Inside Edition, the “Vice” hitmaker brought her boyfriend Anderson East at the event. However, it seems that she was still thinking of Blake Shelton when she accepted her speech. Miranda Lambert thanked her fans, who allowed her to share the pain she experienced during her divorce.

“I just want to say thank you for letting me release my heartbreak and sharing it with me,” she said.

As previously reported in Inquisitr, Miranda confessed to Irish Independent that her new album talked about her life for the past few years including her failed marriage with Blake. She claimed that she wrote everything that happened in her life. The blonde country belle wanted to reach those people who wanted to hear the ugly truth.
