Michelle Duggar Writes Blog On ‘Bitterness,’ Did She Just Weigh In On Her Sons-In-Law’s Alleged Feud?

Counting On matriarch Michelle Duggar just penned a blog post about bitterness amid rumors that her sons-in-law are having a silent war. Michelle wrote the seemingly cryptic blog entry on the supposedly happy week for the Duggar family, as Counting On Season 3 has just premiered last Monday night.

The 50-year-old reality star titled her post “The Root of Bitterness” and pondered on why people often lose their joy. The Duggar mama wrote that aside from “the busy-ness of life,” one major happiness-stealer is bitterness in our hearts.

“Having bitterness in our spirit robs us of life’s most beautiful moments. Comparing ourselves to others, envy, and jealousy all lead down to a road of bitterness.”

Michelle went on to say that bitterness makes people “treat others unfairly,” even without them knowing it. Is she pertaining to the alleged “bitter” feud between her daughters’ husbands?

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Counting On fans think that there may be an ongoing dispute between Jill Duggar’s husband Derick Dillard and Jinger’s husband Jeremy Vuolo. The issue started when fans observed that Jill and Derick are not following Jinger and Jeremy on Instagram. Although this could be easily shrugged off as a non-issue, it is true that social media actions speak louder than words these days.

According to Duggar watchers, the sibling rivalry escalated when Jeremy Vuolo subtly shaded his brother-in-law’s missionary work through a recent preaching. Jeremy spoke against certain missionaries who go to the mission field unprepared. He called them “unqualified, uncalled, unconfirmed, and unsent zealots.”

“They’re just Lone Ranger types running around solo asking churches for money to support them…They don’t want to work to support themselves, give themselves to study, or give themselves to the necessary abandoning of comfort required to do damage to your flesh.”

As seen on Counting On episodes, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have been going back and forth to El Salvador for their missionary work. The reality stars have faced a good amount of criticism for their ministry in the past.

For one, Jill and Derick have admitted that they weren’t ready when they first decided to go to Central America two years ago. Derick quit his job and jumped on the opportunity for a life in the mission field, without even taking Spanish lessons first.

Furthermore, Jill and Derick’s local church turned down their request to partner with them on their mission trip reportedly due to their lack of qualifications. The couple is now under the S.O.S. Ministries and is raising their own funds through donations.

Both parties have chosen to remain tight-lipped about the rumored family feud. However, fans thought Derick’s recent tweet was a direct swipe at Jeremy’s subtle diss. On June 10, Jill’s husband tweeted a verse from the Bible that seemingly explained his silence.

Now, it seems like even Michelle Duggar has joined Derick and Jeremy’s cryptic exchange. The 19 Kids and Counting star ended her blog post by encouraging her readers to pray for God to remove all bitterness in their hearts.

One thing we must do as Christians is to pray that bitterness finds no place in our hearts. Let’s choose joy!
