‘Bachelor In Paradise’: Chris Harrison Speaks Out, What Are Plans To Save Show After Sexual Assault Incident?

Bachelor in Paradise production was halted after an alleged sexual assault incident occurred on-set. Chris Harrison spoke out in a statement on Tuesday, urging fans to be patient while they investigate. What plans are in place to save the popular reality show?

Inside plans to save Bachelor in Paradise

Bachelor in Paradise filming was stopped abruptly on Sunday after DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios were involved in an alleged sexual assault incident.

Will the hit Bachelor spinoff be canceled for good? An insider told Radar Online the season probably wouldn’t continue this year due to the investigation but that “no final decision has been made” regarding if the show will be stopped permanently.

ABC plans to save the series. The insider revealed that the network may bring production for this season back to Los Angeles and “start next year sanitized.”

The Bachelor spinoff series cancellation was apparently a long time coming for the network as the source revealed that the series “was not a good look for ABC.”

“Executives have been looking for excuses to kill the show because they didn’t want to damage The Bachelor franchise. The Bachelor is much more careful with filming and execs know they have been skating close to the edge with BIP.”

On Sunday, after ABC announced that Bachelor in Paradise production was halted in Mexico, Warner Bros. released a statement claiming that they had “become aware of allegations of misconduct.”

“We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.”

People reported that Jackson, who was cut early on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, had a sexual encounter with a female contestant, who was later revealed to be Corinne Olympios, who may have been too drunk to consent.

A source later told ET that Jackson had a raunchy hookup with Olympios, claiming that “DeMario was in the pool. Next thing you know, Corrine comes over and hops on his lap. They start talking and joking.”

“Everyone is just going about their business. Cameras are rolling. Producers are everywhere. That’s when a ‘third party’ felt uncomfortable, claiming misconduct in the workplace. As of right now, production of Paradise is suspended indefinitely. And they are sending everyone home and telling everyone else to stay home. DeMario got sent home soon after.”

Chris Harrison speaks out against “misinformation”

Bachelor host Chris Harrison spoke out on Tuesday against the “misinformation” that was put out regarding the alleged sexual assault incident, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

“I can confirm to you that this is sadly the case. Out of respect to all involved, there’s only so much I can and will say at this time. Normally with a situation like this I would not say anything until the incident is fully resolved, but with all the rumors and misinformation being put out there, I don’t find that to be possible anymore.”

Joe once said, ‘I don’t wanna be a player no more’ on the Hip-Hop classic, ‘Still Not a Player’ and after 30 summers of being single and a player on and off the court I’m feeling like Joe. Harrison stressed that the “safety and care” of Bachelor in Paradise cast and crew was the most important thing. The investigation was started immediately, and they are moving quickly to get all the information needed.

“There are a lot of competing details in the various press accounts of the incident. And there’s a lot of misinformation out there, too. We urge everyone to be patient until the investigation is complete.”

Everyone is siding with DeMario?

Reports claim that the Bachelor in Paradise cast is rallying around DeMario Jackson. Another source claimed that producers and executives liked him and “everyone feels bad for him.”

The cast also allegedly feels that Corinne Olympios is “out for fame,” and there have also been other alleged complaints involving her before the sexual assault incident.

“She has been involved in multiple sexually provocative incidents sober, drunk and in between. She was scolded and reprimanded and warned. Her excuse that she was blackout drunk those involved with the show don’t believe.”
